The Historic village of Cromford is situated in the beautiful Derwent Valley 2 miles South of Matlock. It has recently acquired World Heritage status, along with the Taj Mahal and the Great Wall of China. www.derwentvalleymills.org. There are many interesting sites in the village, including the Worlds first succesful water-powered spinning mill which is undergoing extensive restoration.

Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and the beautiful Peak District are all within easy reach. There are a many good hotels and guest houses in the area, and should you wish to stay in the area, we will be happy to advise you.
